If your Fred A. Carpenter is the one born c1894 in IN enumerated in Sturgis, St. Joseph Co. MI in 1920 with wife Anna C. and children Carl L. born c1914, Bessie L. born c1915, James O. born c1918, and Franklin E. born c1920, his WWI Draft Registration Card gives his birth date as 24 Jul 1892, which tentatively matches him up with the Freddie Carpenter born in Jul 1892 in IN enumerated as the son of John and Rebecca Carpenter in Blackford Co. IN in 1900. Do you have a marriage record for Fred and Anna?
