I am trying unravelling a story about the family of Margaret Charlotte Charpentier (Carpenter) who may be a distant cousin of mine. Margaret Charlotte married the famous Scottish author, Sir Walter Scott. The details are below, any leads please

Sir Walter Scott was born 15th AUG 1771 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, and died 1832 in Melrose, Roxburghshire, Scotland. He married Charlotte Mary Carpenter 24th DEC 1797 in Carlisle, Cumberland, England. She was born 1777, and died 14th MAY 1826 in Melrose, Roxburghshire, Scotland.
Children of Sir Walter Scott and Charlotte Mary Carpenter are:
i. Charlotte Sophia Scott was born 1799, and died 17 MAY 1837.
ii. Walter Scott was born 28th OCT 1801 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, and died 8th FEB 1847. Was there a marriage and any children.
iii. Ann Scott was born 1803, and died 25th JUN 1832.
iv. Charles Scott was born 1805, and died 1840.

Margaret Charlotte Charpentier (Later changed to Carpenter after baptism) was born 1777 in Lyon, in France, she was baptised, in May 1787 at St George’s Hanover Square Westminster London England, and died 14th MAY 1826 in Abbotsford House, Melrose, Roxburghshire, Scotland.
She married 1st Baronet Sir Walter Scott 24 DEC 1797 in Carlisle Cathedral, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, son of Esquire Walter Scott and Anne Rutherford. He was born 15th AUG 1771 in North Castle, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, and died 21st SEP 1832 in Abbotsford House, Melrose, Roxburghshire, Scotland. Her father was Jean Charpentier.
