Terry..Thanks for responding..I am unsure if surname Carpenter was Permelia's maiden name or if she was married to a Carpenter before she married William E Sapp. This family is a real puzzle and that is why I posted a request for anyone who may know what happened to these children. I cannot find Theodore on a census after the 1880 census you mentioned..they may have died..Seneth remained with William E Sapp and his new wife but Theodore apparently went to live with relatives..or maybe Uriah was his biological father..I just don't know and have no idea where else to look. Thanks again, Diane
