I'm trying to trace back my family line before Joseph Calvert to confirm or debunk the family legend that we are related to Lord Baltimore.
Joseph Calvert (1805-1877) was born in England (possibly Manchester), moved to Ontario (son Robert was born in Kingston, Ontario 1866), moved to Olmsted County, Minnesota, became a naturalized US citizen (along with sons Samuel and Robert), died in Minnesota. Wife was Agnes McFee (1808-1888) who was born in Ireland, moved to Ontario, died in Minnesota. I don't know if they married in the UK or Canada.
Children were Mary Elizabeth, John Burchill Calvert, Samuel D. Calvert, Sara Ann, Catherine Rebecca, Eliza Jane, Robert Alexander Calvert. Charles Wesley Calvert is listed in family records as a son, but is listed in the US census as a nephew of Joseph's son Robert.
Robert's first wife was Susan Andrus (1855-1895). Children with her were Howard A. (b 1874), Jennie Ellen (1876-1918), Ray F. (b 1878), Luella (b circa 1891), Berta (b circa 1893). Second wife was Jennie H. Calvert (b. circa 1846).
Any information on who Joseph's parents, grandparents, etc. were, exact birthplace if it's not Manchester, etc. would be most helpful. Also, any descendents of his children other than Robert or anything regarding Robert's children other than Jennie would be nice, too. :-)
