John M. Calvert was the oldest brother to my mother (Ruth Lenore Calvert Russell)
He was born in 1894 in Shawneetown, Illinois.
I have completed most of the information needed on my mother's Calvert side, however, John's second wife eludes me.
He is found with his young wife (Alice Medlin) in the 1920 census.... (he 26, she 18),in Blairsville, Illinois. In 1930 Census he is found with Alice in Council Grove, Kansas..with two sons, John Jr. and Cecil B .(Britton).
Some time after 1930, they divorced..of which I can find no record..and then he married a woman who I remember as simply EUNICE...I remember them living somewhere in West Virginia.
I pulled up Uncle John's military record of registering for the draft in 1942. He was 48 years old, living in Ceredo, Wayne County, West Virginia. He lists his occupation as working for the Veteran's Administration of Huntington, West Virginia..his person to contact was Eunice Calvert.
All I need is to find out is Eunice's maiden name, and possibly get their marriage date and or death certificates. So far, I cannot find these records..and without a maiden name, and no idea where she was from, the records elude me.
Anyone out there know of Eunice from West Virginia.?
