Marie, time-line for Addison P CALVERT, so far, is this: b ca 1841-42 in KY in between census record. Son of whom? 1850 - cannot find him on KY census w/family. Should be about 9-10. Did his parents die and he was living with someone else, because 1860-Addison in Boyle Co KY living with family of George Sandifer, 23, and his wife and children. Addison is 18, b KY, and below his name is that of William Calvert, age 11, b MO. 1870-Addison in Boyle Co KY m and living with second wife, Mary B, 23 and their children: Emma J. 5, Robert C 2, Ada B 4/12 and Addison is 28 b KY 1880-Addison is 39, living in Cass Co MO w/Mary B, 33, Emma 14, Robert 11, Addie 10, Eugene 6, William 4 and Charles 10/12. It is my theory that Robert, age 11, was named for Mary B. Gray Calvert's father, Robert H, and that Addie was perhaps a broken version of Addison, and that William was named for Addison's brother, who was 11 in 1860. I don't have a theory for the other children. It is possible that 'if' William was b in MO before 1850, this may be the reason I do not find Addison in the 1850 census of KY living with his family. He and his family may have been in MO between census records, returned to KY where they both perhaps died before 1860 census, since Addison is living with this George Sandifer. Addison appeared to be a black smith in several census records, as was this George Sandifer, who perhaps was teaching him the trade. Notify Administrator about this message?
