Ella Marie (Martie) Bloss has just passed away May 30,2005 (Memorial Day) at the age of 79. Her maiden Name was Naumann from Brenham, Texas. She was married to Warren Bloss Jr. who died on her birthday October 22, 1982. Her Brother August Naumann (Her Hero) died on her birthday in 1993. I guess in order to tie all three of them together Momma chose Memorial day as Warren Jr. and August (Augie) Naumann were veterans. She was a registered nurse and had the opportunity to save a doctor's life with CPR while in service.
Her brothers were, August (Augie) Naumann, Theodore (Tedo / Shorty) Naumann, Emmit(Boobie)Naumann, Ralph (Boots) Sommerfeld. Her sisters were Margarett (Suzie) Naumann, and Emma (Emmie) Naumann.
Her father was John Naumann of Brenham Texas.
Her mother was Emma Naumann of Brenham Texas.
She had two sons, Roy Lee Parsons and Warren Newell Bloss, III. Both still alive as of this writing.
Her grandchildren are Todd Parsons, Tanya Parsons, Shalako Parsons and Nicole Marie Bloss.
She loved rides in the country to see the wild flowers, especially the bluebonnets and indian paint brushes in texas. Her favorite passion were childeren. She loved people who had big personalities and she delighted in the habits and idiosyncracies of each person. She worked as a nurse for over 20 years at the VA Hospital in Waco, Texas and the Waco Center for Youth. She was third runner up in the Miss Owens Illinois Pageant in 1942. She was a Beloved wife, Devoted sister, Loving mother and grandmother and a best friend and respected nurse. She loved life and the life of others. Even in sickness she did not want to fussed over and was worried about the well being of others.
She is truly missed.
