I searched all my data for a Phillips married to anyone named Bloss or Blose (spellings were used interchangeablily by some in the family) No luck my data covers the Bloss/Blose family from Georg Conrad Bloss b-1728 in Germany came to America in 1749 at Philadelphia and moved on to near Elkton VA before 1764, We think he was in the Shenandoah Vally by early 1750's

I used anyone named Bloss/Blose on the thought that Margaret might be a second name. My data might not include second name and the reverse.

Now I do have Phillips in the family but not married to anyone named Bloss. Rather to branches were the surname changed (women named Bloss married)

If you can't locate your Maragret in VA give me some trail after the marriage. Maybe that will give me a clue as I know where lots of the branches moved when the left VA

It might also help me point you to other Bloss/Blose families

there are many and they are generally not linked going back to the 1500's the name appeared at different places independently. Like Smith

Await your trail info

Dick Bloss
