I am direct descendant with probably the best family history of this line, combining the best of Clinton Joel Bloss/ Raymond Hollenbach and the Robert's History of the Lehigh Valley, PA. We have no proof of where he is buried nor if he actually died at Long Island. All we know is a Conrad Bloss mustered to serve with the Flying Camp at Long Island. A Conrad Bloss also took the Oath of Allegiance to PA in 1777, if it is his son or the son of his brother, we can't prove nor disprove.I have writing a treatise on the subject to document my stance since most writers in the past use terms as "without a doubt" or "no doubt" but NO PROOF! His wife lived with daughter and SIL until she died in 1803. I have estate papers but there are no church records, no family records to show where she was buried either. I could surmise that maybe they were buried at the family homestead in an unmarked grave. The homestead stayed in the fmaily many years - I have all Conrad's original properties mapped out in what is now Washington Twp, Lehigh County, PA.
