Steffie,
What is your line to Conrad. As I said in an earlier post in this thread I am through Conrad 1,2 and 3....Ill give you the rest if you are interested. I'll try to respond to a few things in order from your post.

As for his birth - the date I gave in the first post of this thread 5 Jan 1718 is actually his baptism from the church records in Langenselbold, Germany. So, he was probably born in Dec of 1717.

You mention the children of Conran II born after the death of Conrad I. I don't follow what significance this has, but they were all born after C B I's death. The first one apparently in the 1780's. He is in the 1790 Towamensing census ( Coonrod Plose )as one adult male and 2 females.

The 'Archives' do show that Conrad was mustered into Nicholas (not Michael) Kern's co on July 9 1776. It is a fact that these men fought at Long Iland and many died there. I have not been able to find any record that shows for certain that Conrad was a casualty of this battle or the equally disasterous battle son after at Fort Washington New York. From what I gather this is an assumption based on the lack of records for him at any later date. This has led me to another possibility I have just recently begun to consider. If the Conrad Bloss at Long Island did not die there - it could have been Conrad II.

You reference another 'Archive' record for his marriage. This is a baptism record in which he and his wife are the sponsors. Please see my other post from today on this subject.

Does your info give sources for the birthdates of Conrad II's children. I have full dates for these and the years agree, but I got them from other 'unsourced' material. I am also interested in a full birthdate for Conrad II (I have 1758 - again without source)and do you have anything for his wife?

Looking forward to further discussion. Keith
