Hello Bedford & Co. I'm wondering if anyone has any info or knows where I might find/search for info re. my great-grandfather the Hon. George Bedford. He was born in Wales or England around 1855 to 1865 approx. give or take a few years. He was a coal shipping merchant during the late 1800's and is a distant relative of the Duke of Bedford. He was a friend of the king at the time. His eldest son's (my grandfather's)name was Charles Bedford who jumped ship in Brisbane to marry my Grandmother (nee. Kirby)Incuring his father's wrath. The second son died in the early 1920's approx. sailing from England to Australia. He also had at least 2/3 daughters in the British Isles. I have been searching for ages for info but to no avail.
