Hi ,
I am interested in finding information on the family of Stephen Bedford who died Feb 11, 1833 and is buried in Norwich Township, Oxford County, Ontario. According to the Elgin County Ontario Surrogate Court Records his estate was probated and inventory completed July 1833.
His wife is listed as Susan Bedford. His children are listed as Stephen, Paul , Daniel, Fanny and Mary. Daniel and Paul were prosecuted for their participation in the 1837 Rebellion. Paul was eventually released but Daniel was hung in London, Ontario and buried beside his father.
I would like to know where the family came from in the US.
