I'm sorry but I can't help you. Most of my records are before 1910 and since there were very few Bedfords in SC in 1900, I haven't check the 1910 or 1920 census there yet for Bedfords. None of them were in Cherokee co, 1900 soundex.
Most of the people in the 1900 soundex were Bodifords, same soundex code as Bedford B316.
Keep looking and hang in there.
