Gerald, further to our correspondence of last year, I now have some new information from the 1841 and 1851 censuses on the family of Henry Batt baptised 1796 in Dartmouth England. Firstly, he was married to a Susanna born Portsea Hampshire in 1801-2. Secondly, amongst the nine children shown was a Thomas Batt born 1833-4 probably at Cheriton, Kent, England. Do you have any further information about your Thomas, for example a birthplace?
