I wonder if anyone has come across Jeremiah Batt
born in Witham Friary, Somerset? I have
been unable to trace his first marriage to Jane
Vipond but believe his marriage was pre 1837.
His jobs were Stoker in Factory, Iron Founder
and Cupola Man and he lived in Ocker Hill
near Tipton and Aston, Birmingham. His
children included Priscilla (born 1841),
John (born 1846), William (born 1848),
Jeremiah (born 1851) and my g g grandmother
Sarah Ann born 1852. By 1861 he was married
to Mary born Leicestershire and living in
New Bond Street Aston. I believe from Parish
Records his father was Elias.
