SHREVEPORT, LA - A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at Greenwood Cemetery, Stoner Avenue, for Montez Babin who died October 4, 2009 at Christus Schumpert Highland.
Miss Babin was born to Armand and Olive Hebert Babin on December 3, 1921 in Stacey's Landing, Louisiana.
She was predeceased by her parents and by her siblings, Weldon Babin, Chester Babin, Andrew Babin, Aaron Babin, Howard Babin, Jewel Babin Turner and Ruth Babin Geneux; nephews, Weldon Babin, Jr. and Floyd Turner; and niece, Joann Babin.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Yvonne Babin Duhe, Carolyn Babin Warwick, Kenneth A. Babin, Marceil Turner Cranford, T. Lynn Geneux, Judy Babin Nance and Howard A. Babin, Jr.; many great nieces and nephews; and by many loyal friends.
Miss Babin was retired Executive Director of the Shreveport Y.W.C.A. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Miss Babin was an active member of the Altrusa Club. She loved her family and friends and cared for many in their time of need. Her wit continued until her death. She was loved and will be missed. Rose-Neath Funeral Home Marshall St. Chapel - 222-0348
