Spartan Regiment-South Carolina Militia

Spartan Regiment-under Col's Roebuck and Thomas. Looking for a battle history of this regiment. Based on my ancestor's pension records, it is known the regiment was at the Battle of Musgrove's Mill and Seige of Augusta. My ancestor was 80 years old and admittedly forgetful. Surely, this regiment participated in many of the battles in the Carolinas Campaign. Any info would be most appreciated.
